Question

I have been hearing about the MoneyAfrica Kids app for a while now. What is it about and what do my children and I stand to gain from it?

Answer

Five years ago, MoneyAfrica was launched to educate adults on financial literacy. It was noticed that after learning, most people would wish they had learned this when they were much younger as they would have maximised the time factor. This is why MoneyAfrica Kids came to life, as we realised even our children can start learning to be financially aware from a young age and making good financial decisions. Financial literacy has been linked to lower debt levels, higher savings, and higher credit scores for adults. Now think of how much impact it will have on a child!

What is so special about the MoneyAfrica Kids app?

Everything, I tell you! The MoneyAfrica Kids app is an engaging and educational platform designed to introduce children to the basics of financial literacy. The goal is to equip the next generation with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed financial decisions from an early age. The app uses interactive games, quizzes, and real-life scenarios to make learning about money fun and engaging for children.

What are the benefits for your children?

1. Financial literacy: The app covers essential financial topics such as saving, spending, investing, and budgeting. Your children will learn how to understand and manage money wisely and develop healthy financial habits that will serve them well into adulthood.

2. Interactive learning: With a variety of animated courses, games and quizzes, the app makes learning about money exciting and enjoyable. Children can practise making financial decisions in a safe and controlled environment.

3. Real-life scenarios: The app uses real-world examples to teach children about the consequences of their financial choices. This practical approach helps them understand the impact of their decisions and prepares them for real-life financial challenges.

4. Goal setting: The app encourages children to set financial goals and track their progress. Whether it’s saving for a new toy or planning a fun activity, goal setting helps children understand the value of delayed gratification and the importance of planning.

5. Parental involvement: The app allows you to monitor your child’s progress and participate in their learning journey. You can set tasks, offer rewards, and provide guidance, creating a collaborative learning experience.

Any benefits for you as a parent?

1. Peace of mind: Knowing that your children are gaining valuable financial knowledge provides peace of mind. You’ll feel confident that they are developing the skills needed to navigate their financial futures successfully.

2. Bonding time: The app offers an excellent opportunity for you to bond with your children over financial education. Discussing money matters and working together on financial goals can strengthen your relationship and foster open communication about finances.

3. Foundation for the future: You’re laying a solid foundation for their financial future by teaching your children about money early on. They’ll be better prepared to handle financial responsibilities and make informed decisions as they grow older.

4. Shared learning experience: You might even learn a thing or two alongside your children! The app provides valuable insights and tips that can benefit your financial knowledge as well.

Truth is, the MoneyAfrica Kids app is a powerful tool for instilling financial literacy in children. It’s an investment in their future, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to make smart financial decisions. Plus, it’s a fun and interactive way to learn about money together as a family. It is time to empower your children with financial knowledge. With just N10,000, you get access for your child for a whole year! You can download the app on Android and IOS.
